HELLO, I'M PELUMI OKE PAPAYAW
I focus on designing reliable AWS infrastructure, streamlining deployments and aligning cloud decisions with business goals.
I am an AWS-focused cloud professional specializing in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, deployment automation and cost optimization. I am passionate about building secure, scalable and reliable cloud solutions that address real business needs. My interests include AWS infrastructure migration, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud security and operational efficiency. Through practical projects, I aim to demonstrate sound architectural decisions, automation, and cost-conscious infrastructure design.
My portfolio explores infrastructure architecture, deployment automation, migration planning and cost-conscious design. I aim to document not just what a solution uses, but why each architectural decision makes sense.

Designed a six-subnet VPC across two Availability Zones and deployed an EC2-hosted HTTP test application with systemd and Session Manager. Validated public access and temporary ALB routing, investigated target health, and removed the ALB after testing to control costs. Private application deployment, Auto Scaling and RDS remain future work.
Built and verified a GitHub Actions pipeline for a Node.js/Express app. The workflow installs dependencies, runs three automated tests, builds a Docker image, and publishes latest and commit-SHA tags to GitHub Container Registry and private Amazon ECR. GitHub Actions authenticates to AWS using OIDC and a least-privilege IAM role, without long-lived AWS access keys. The project intentionally stops at image publishing; ECS/Fargate deployment is future work to keep costs controlled.
Create a migration plan covering workload discovery, dependency assessment, target-state architecture, data transfer, security requirements, cutover validation, rollback planning and post-migration checks.
Build a cost-management approach that improves spending visibility through resource tagging, budget alerts and cost analysis. Identify rightsizing opportunities and propose measurable optimization actions without compromising reliability.
Design and implement a serverless API with managed request routing, event-driven compute, a NoSQL data layer and least-privilege access. Include input validation, error handling, logging and deployment documentation.
